Location
Carmunnock is a conservation village within the City of Glasgow, within 3 miles of East Kilbride and Rutherglen.

Transport
The village’s only public transport link is the number 31 bus service operated by First Glasgow to Milton and East Kilbride. The No 31 bus can be taken from Osborne Street in Glasgow city centre directly to Carmunnock in around 25 minutes. The nearest train station is at Busby, which is on the East Kilbride line from Glasgow Central Station.

Carmunnock is about 20 minutes walk from the train station.

By Taxi it is approximately 20 minutes from George Square and would cost around £12 – £15.

There will be parking facilities on the day of the event.

Accommodation
There are various hotels in the area including The Carnbooth Hotel in Carmunnock, The Busby Hotel in Busby and The Holiday Inn Hotel in East Kilbride.

Eating Out
There will be professional catering at the games providing food and drinks. There will also be a beer garden offering beers, wines and spirits.  Also situated within the village of Carmunnock is BOOTH’S village store, Mitchell’s Restaurant, The Carnbooth Hotel and Laura’s Tea Room, all offering a superb selection of food and refreshments.
